Campaigns & Quests System
ForU uses communities, campaigns, and quests to turn reputation into something users can actively build.
Communities & Campaigns
Community A shared space where conversations, contributions, and reputation come together around a common interest, project, or ecosystem. This is where content is created, discussions happen, and reputation grows over time.
Campaign A time-bound activity designed to highlight and measure community contributions. Campaigns track participation, content, or sentiment over a specific period and surface contributors based on their impact and engagement.
Campaigns provide the “container.”
Quests are the concrete actions users take inside that container.
Quests: Intentional, Rewarded Actions
Quests in ForU are goal-based tasks that users complete to earn XP, badges, and rewards. They are designed to drive purposeful engagement while aligning with community and partner objectives.
Quest Types
To keep things relevant and inclusive, ForU supports multiple quest types:
Open Quests Visible and available to all users. Anyone on the platform can attempt these.
“For You” Quests Personalized quests targeted to specific users based on persona, behaviour, or profile data.
Partner-Gated Quests Exclusive quests for specific communities or partner campaigns, often requiring a certain C-DID (community affiliation) to join.
Metric vs Semantic Quests
Each quest has clear completion conditions, which can be metric-based or semantic-based:
Metric-Based Quests Based on simple, countable actions. Examples:
“Post 5 tweets this week”
“Get 100 total likes this month”
“Invite 3 friends via referral”
“Connect your wallet and set an NFT profile picture”
These are automatically verifiable (counts, connections, referrals, etc.).
Semantic-Based Quests Based on the content and meaning of what users post, not just volume. Examples:
“Post 3 educational threads about Web3 this week”
“Share positive sentiment content about a partner project”
The system uses AI/NLP (e.g. sentiment and topic classification) to check whether the content is relevant and meets an admin-defined threshold. This encourages higher-quality engagement, not spam.
Why It Matters
ForU’s Campaign & Quest system ensures there is always something meaningful to do:
Creators can find their next challenge
New members get guided, “For You” tasks
Communities and brands can run targeted, measurable campaigns
It blends Web2-style personalization (“For You” targeting) with Web3 rewards and verification, so engagement becomes intentional, on-chain, and reputation-building, rather than mindless scrolling.
